Business groups call for immediate action on the fiscal cliff

NAEDA and nearly 300 business organizations are calling on Congress and the White House to act immediately on looming spending cuts and and tax increases set to go into effect next year.

In a letter sent Wednesday, 298 businesses led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce urged "Congress and the president to immediately enact legislation that averts America’s impending fiscal cliff." Lawmakers aren't expected to bear down on the Bush-era tax cuts or spending issues until, at least, after the November election.
