Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) By Frank Bryant

In January 2013, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and New Cingular Wireless (NCW) reached an administrative settlement requiring the company to pay a civil penalty of $750,000 regarding alleged reporting, planning and permitting violations at 332 legacy AT&T Wireless (AWS) sites now owned by NCW. The basis of the case was NCW’s failure to comply with the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know (EPCRA) reporting requirements related to the presence of sulfuric acid and diesel.

NAEDA joins new tax coalition By Mike Williams

Dealer group seeks to educate lawmakers in regard to tax reform that would lower tax rates and broaden the tax base.

     On June 27, the Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) proposed a “blank slate,” or to some a “clean slate,” approach as a legislative starting point for tax reform and called on their Senate colleagues to provide proposals for tax expenditures to add back in a reformed tax code.

NAEDA's OPE Dealer Council calls for action NAEDA’s OPE Dealer Council met last October while attending the GIE+EXPO Show. They met with The OPE Dealer Council, the group made up of representatives from the Mid-America Equipment Retailers Association, the Northeast Equipment Dealers Association and the Ohio-Michigan Equipment Dealers Association.
