On August 26-28, Natalie Higgins, VP of Government Relations, attended a three day Agribusiness Tour, sponsored in part by NAEDA and organized by St. Louis Agribusiness Club. The tour was attended by nearly a dozen congressional staffers. Tour participants enjoyed a broad educational experience touring various facilities across the states of Missouri and Illinois including an organic community farm, a Monsanto research facility, a working dairy farm, a local winery, a Mississippi River Lock and Dam, a pork farm and a grain elevator.

This opportunity gave time for Natalie to discuss NAEDA’s legislative and regulatory priorities with the congressional staffers.  There are plans to follow-up with those staffers while Natalie is in DC when congress returns from their summer recession after Labor Day.
