The Western Equipment Dealers Association (WEDA), an international trade association representing equipment dealers since 1889, has announced the selection of Andrew P. Phillips as its new Vice President, SouthWestern Region. Phillips will fill the vacancy created by Jeff Flora's retirement. The Western Equipment Dealers Association announced its Board of Directors, effective Sept. 1, 2014.
Cameron Bode, South Country Equipment, Emerald Park, SK, has been elected president, and Scott Eisenhauer, P&K Equipment, Enid, OK, has been designated vice president. Bode will lead the seven-member board of directors, which is responsible for managing the association’s budget and programs.

Other individuals serving on the Board of Directors are: Wally Butler, Mazergroup, Winnipeg, MB; Jim Wood, Rocky Mountain Equipment, Calgary, AB; Bruce Coleman, Coleman Equipment, Inc., Bonner Springs, KS; Jack Radke, Ag-Power, Inc., McKinney, TX; and Jeff Flora, Phoenix, AZ.

John Schmeiser has been designated as CEO of the organization, which was recently formed by a merger of the former SouthWestern Association and Canada West Equipment Dealers Association.  Read More...

OSHA released a new final rule on September 11, 2014 with two changes that have implications on all U.S. workplaces.  The new rule requires all dealers to maintain an OSHA 300 log and changes the reporting requirements for serious injuries at all workplaces.

NAEDA board to consider recommendations for enhancing member service

For the past several months, eight task groups have been working behind the scenes to address the priorities or focus areas for transitioning NAEDA to a new governance model. Later this month, the task groups will present their findings and recommendations to the NAEDA Board of Directors for consideration. The meeting promises to be an exciting opportunity to plot the course for significant change within the association - change that will enhance service to the members and better position NAEDA for continued success. In addition to seeing the UTVs on the indoor show floor, attendees will be able to get hands-on with exhibitors offering test tracks in the Outdoor Demonstration Area.
