Hybrid & Electric vehicles are here to stay and their high voltage systems present a serious electric shock risk. You must ensure that your personnel are properly trained to service these vehicles and that they have appropriate Personal Protective equipment. KPA suggests, and most manufacturers require at a minimum, the use of rubber insulating gloves when working on the vehicle’s high voltage electric system. The OSHA standards for electrical safety equipment can be found under CFR 1910.137.
