TransCanada expects Keystone pipeline decision by end of March

The company seeking to build the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline believes the long-delayed White House decision on the project will arrive by the end of March, Bloomberg reports.

Alex Pourbaix, a senior official with TransCanada Corp., said in Calgary on Wednesday he expects the State Department will complete its environmental analysis this fall and a final decision will arrive in the first quarter of 2014, the news service reports.

The State Department has repeatedly said recently that it does not have a timeline for completing its review.
