The Western Equipment Dealers Association (WEDA) is pleased to announce that Kevin Pawlowski has been elected as President of its Board of Directors for a two-year term which began July 1, 2019. Pawlowski will lead the ten-member Board of Directors which is responsible for overseeing the association’s governance and strategic direction while ensuring that WEDA is operated in a fiscally responsible manner.

Pawlowski has been involved in the equipment industry for over 30 years. He joined Case Credit (now CNH Capital) as a field representative in 1985 before leaving in 1992 to become part of Farmers Equipment Company, a two-store Case IH dealership in northwestern Washington state where he now serves as the company’s President and General Manager. Prior to joining the WEDA Board in 2015, Kevin served on the Board of the Pacific Northwest Association for 5 years.

“Over three decades, Kevin has built an impressive track record of strategic, operational and commercial accomplishments,” said John Schmeiser, CEO, WEDA. “His extensive leadership experience, strategic business knowledge and demonstrated success as a board member will be a valuable asset as we continue to strengthen WEDA’s impact to the industry. Kevin is emblematic of the deep bench strength we have on our Board of Directors, and I could not be more pleased about his appointment.”

“I am thrilled and humbled for this opportunity and believe that WEDA has never been in a stronger position, not just to face the challenges ahead, but to emerge as the leader in shaping the path and future direction of the industry for the benefit of equipment dealers. The WEDA Board of Directors is deeply committed to our dealers and our industry and it is both a privilege and an honor to assume the role as Board President,” added Pawlowski.

WEDA directors and staff work on behalf of all member companies, giving their time and talent to provide strategic direction and guidance for Association action in areas including government affairs, manufacturer relations, public policy, market data and exhibitions, as well as technical, safety and regulatory issues, and education/training.
