This week our dealer statute legislation, Senate Bill 377, passed the Oklahoma Senate. The vote was unanimous, 46-0. The bill has been transmitted to the House and has not been assigned to a committee yet.
We would like to thank Senator Avery Frix who sponsored and carried the legislation for us through committee and on the Senate floor. This is the second bill Senator Frix has sponsored for the association, previously helping us pass a transportation bill. We are very grateful for his support of our industry in the legislature.
In the House, the primary sponsor carrying the bill is Representative Steve Bashore. He is also the Majority Deputy Floor Leader and a very effective legislator. We are grateful to have him sponsor this legislation on behalf of dealers. We would also like to thank Representative Banning, who is a co-sponsor of the legislation and will be supporting the bill’s passage in the House.
