The New Jersey Assembly has scheduled a hearing for Thursday, May 15th, at 10 a.m. to discuss Assembly Bill 3809, which concerns the right to repair farm equipment and lawn mowers. The Consumer Affairs Committee will hold the hearing.
NAEDA has submitted written testimony in opposition to this bill and will attend the meeting to deliver remarks and take questions should the committee have any.
This bill concerns NAEDA because of its price-fixing mandates and the inherent changes to our members’ business models that would result. A copy of the association’s testimony is attached for your reference.
We would like to ask that any NAEDA members willing and able to submit written testimony opposing this bill do so. If you would like to discuss any aspects of this bill or have help drafting written testimony, please get in touch with NAEDA’s Director of Government Affairs, Mr. Kipp McGuire, at kmcguire@naeda.com or by phone: (771) 208-4009. Position Statement.
Testimony may be submitted by emailing written comments to: OLSaideACO@njleg.org
