If it wasn’t for the last minute, nothing would get done or so the saying goes. That was certainly the case this year as the Missouri Senate passed HB 567 right before the legislative session adjourned. The bill was passed without an emergency clause that would have made the repeal effective immediately, so there is a gap until the repeal becomes effective August 28, 2025. Governor Kehoe still needs to sign the bill, which is expected to happen in the coming days.
