Earlier today, SB 377 passed out of the House Commerce and Economic Development Oversight Committee with a unanimous vote in favor of the bill. This follows another unanimous vote in the House Business Committee last week. The bill now heads to the House Floor for a final vote before being sent to the Governor for approval.
We would like to thank Deputy Majority Floor Leader Representative Steve Bashore for carrying the bill in the committee hearing today on behalf of dealers. We would also like to thank the Chairman of the Business Committee, Representative Chris Banning for ushering the bill through his committee last week. With their great leadership, the bill has now passed every vote in the process unanimously.
To ensure passage of the bill on the House Floor vote, it would be very beneficial if dealers could send an email to Representative Bashore thanking him for carrying the bill and for his continued support of Oklahoma equipment dealers. His email is: Steve.Bashore@okhouse.gov.
We also ask that you contact your local state representative and ask them to support SB 377 when it comes up for a vote on the House Floor.
