HB 3158 has been scheduled for a hearing on February 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the House Committee on Energy and the Environment. The bill would impose a 1.5% sales tax on the sale or lease of all nonroad diesel equipment.
If passed, the bill will be sent to the Joint Transportation Committee and must pass that committee as well before being sent to the House floor. NEADA is working with a coalition that is being led by the Associated General Contractors of Oregon. The coalition includes the Oregon Loggers Association and the Oregon Farm Bureau.
